What is Anger Management (Emotion Regulation)?

Anger Management—also called Emotion Regulation—teaches you to recognise triggers, understand the thoughts beneath your emotions, and choose healthy ways to respond. In sessions with a registered social worker, you learn mindfulness, cognitive, and behavioural tools that calm the nervous system and protect mental health. Whether you join us in our Sudbury office or virtually anywhere in Ontario, this therapy equips you to handle stress, communicate clearly, and sustain well-being in everyday life.

How Can Anger Management Help You?

– Trigger Awareness: Spot the early physical and mental signs of anger before it peaks.
– ACT Skills: Separate thoughts and physical sensations from actions with ACT techniques that lower intensity within minutes.
– Healthy Communication: Learn to express needs assertively, reducing conflict at home, work, or school.
– Flexibility and Perspective: Identify and challenge your thoughts with CBT strategies to stay calm and problem-solve with your partner.
