Counselling for
Children & Youth

Are big feelings turning homework or bedtime into daily battles? We offer a calm space where kids can feel safe, understood, and guided toward brighter days.

What is Counselling for Children and Youth?

Counselling for Children and Youth is age-appropriate therapy led by a registered social worker who understands how growing brains handle stress, learning, and relationships. Through conversation and sometimes games, art, or stories, we can help teach emotion regulation, problem-solving, and flexible thinking. Sessions are available in person in Sudbury or virtually anywhere in Ontario, giving families convenient, confidential support that empowers young people to flourish at home, at school, and in the community.

How Can Counselling for Children and Youth Help?

– Healthy Coping: Learn kid-friendly strategies—breathing, movement, journalling, even make-belief—that can help calm anxiety and frustration.
– Emotion Regulation: Practice naming feelings, decoding body cues, and choosing steady responses instead of outbursts.
– Critical Thinking: Build age-appropriate skills for weighing choices, solving conflicts, and reflecting on consequences.
– School Success: Improve focus, peer relationships, and classroom confidence through tailored mental-health tools.
– Early Prevention:
Address worries before they snowball, helping to prevent future mental-health crises and strengthen lifelong resilience.
